League Rules

For those that have not played in the league before your team will play against a different team each week. Your #1 player will play the other teams #1 player, #2 plays #2 etc. There is no fixed order of play as mentioned above the nights will be busy so we want to give flexibility to get matches started quickly. A match will be the best of 5 games, point a rally scoring to 11 winning by two clear points.

  • Positions 1 and 2 will be playing with a double yellow dot ball. Positions 3-7 will be playing with a single yellow dot ball.
  • You must be a member of the Chilliwack Squash Club to play. I will be sending out reminders to those that are not currently a member. There will be a new method for signing up for a membership for players moving forward.
  • Home team to provide balls for the match night.

How to Live Score Matches

Live Score A Match

  1. Connect to the Wifi at the Cheam (City-Public Use) to ensure a good connection.
  2. Log Into ClubLocker
  3. Click on “Enter Score”
  4. Select the League Match Group and click “View Schedule” for your team
  5. Find the match you want to score, Click on the Three Dot More options button and select enter score
  6. Select the position you are scoring for and click Live Referee
  7. Select the players on each team and then click Score Match (This will not appear if both teams have lineups set)
  8. You may have to log in again but should end up at a screen similar to the SportyHQ Scoring app. The image does not want to send in the email.

Challenge Matches Within the Team

We strongly encourage players to challenge within their own team. As of now the team’s roster is set but the positions within the team can change. If a lower position player challenges a higher ranked player and wins the match they will take the higher position. Challenge matches should be entered into club locker as “Club Scores”. If a player is unwilling to play a challenge match/find a time for the match for 4 weeks or 4 attempts whichever is longer then the lower player will be deemed to have won the challenge match.

What to do if you are out of town/cannot play a match

If you are unable to play a match at the scheduled time for any reason you have the following options:

  1. Reach out to your opponent and play it either before the scheduled match or within 72 hours after the scheduled match time. If you are playing the match outside of the normal league time you will need to book the court and pay to access the Cheam like a normal patron. Failing to play the match within 72 hours will result in a default.
  2. Let you captain know that you cannot play, and they will find a spare for you. We have a spare list of 50 people available of all levels.

I look forward to another great season. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
