Which League Is Right For Me?

Chilliwack Squash League	You can rally safely and know the principle of lets and strokes for safe play	A team based league. 1.5hr time commitment each week with a season of around 20 weeks	A great social and competitive experience. Team cameradire and squash
Women's League	You can rally safely and know the principle of lets and strokes for safe play	An individual based league. Each week you will play 2-3 other people in a 30-45 minute time block.	Match play and a great workout with other great Chillliwack Squash Ladies each week
Junior League	Any junior player that can rally safely and can scorekeep for themselves or others	More match play opportunities. We learn squash to play squash so lets play squash	Introduction to competition with games against a variety of opponents each week
Co-ed Scheduled Box League	You can rally safely and know the principle of lets and strokes for safe play.	A lower time commitment each week and a greater variety of opponents than the team league. A great opportunity for competitive experience for newer players	Match play and a great workout with other great Chillliwack Squash players each week

Junior League

Cheam
Oct 1 – Nov 5, Thursday 4:30-6:00
$75 / 6 weeks

Capacity: 12 participants
Match play for juniors, facilitied by a coach with tips between games but focus is on lots of match play opportunities

Co-ed Box League

Chilliwack Landing Leisure Centre
Oct 7 – Feb 24, Wednesday 7:00-9:00
$75 / 6 weeks

Capacity: 16 participants
Boxes of 4 players, Capacity for 16 players. Every 3 weeks boxes are re-organized with a 1 up, 1 down. Matches are scheduled, No referee

Women’s League

Cheam Centre
Oct 7 -Dec 16, Wednesday 7:00-9:00

$75 / 6 weeks

Capacity: 16 participants
The women’s squash league is a chance for players to participate in structured matches on a weekly basis. Each week players will play two to three mini matches against other participants. Prizes will be awarded for participation, most improved and sportsmanship at the end of the league.

ALL SPORT, INCLUDING SQUASH, HAS ITS RISKS

I participate in the sport of squash because it is physically and mentally challenging. I know that there are physical risks and hazards inherent in squash, as there are in most sports. These include but are not limited to: · muscular injuries resulting from vigorous physical exertion, rapid movements and quick turns and stops on the court · bruises and scrapes resulting from falling to the floor or colliding with the wall or with opponents · injuries to the eyes, teeth, face and other parts of the body resulting from being hit by racquets or balls · additional risks associated with my travel to and from Chilliwack Squash Club Programs, and associated with non-competitive activities related to the Chilliwack Squash Club Programs

EYEGUARDS This policy is to be enforced in all programs. “That only protective eyewear appearing on the Squash Canada list of acceptable eyeguards meeting the ASTM designation F803 (Standard specificationof Eye Protectors for use by Players of Racket Sports), shall be allowable where the use of protective eyewear is mandatory.” Eyeguards are highly recommended for all players

I AGREE TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MYSELF I am participating voluntarily in the Chilliwack Squash Club. I agree that there are risks in squash, as described above. By participating voluntarily in this Event, I am exposed to these risks and hazards. I agree to accept them and be responsible for any injury or other loss which I might receive while participating in this Event. If something happens to me, I release the organizers of responsibility for any claims, demands, actions and costs which might arise out of my participation. In this Agreement I understand “organizers” to mean: Chilliwack Squash Club, Greater Vancouver YMCA, the City of Chilliwack, Squash BC, Squash Canada and each of their respective directors, officers, employees, coaches, officials, volunteers and members.

I ACKNOWLEDGE MAKING THIS AGREEMENT This is a legal agreement. It is binding upon myself as well as upon my heirs, executors and representatives. I have read and understood all its terms and by signing it voluntarily I am agreeing to abide by these terms. Photo Release I give permission for my picture and/or name to appear, on occasion, on promotional or invitational newsletters affiliated solely with the Chilliwack Squash Club.
